Dale Gibbons (Owner) - Physiotherapist specialising in Musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries

Dale GibbonsRegistered with HCPC,CSP, Physio First and pitch side qualified (IMMOFP).

Dale gained a degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Salford. After qualifying he worked as a rotational physiotherapist in the NHS, before specialising in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic problems and becoming a senior physiotherapist in the NHS.

As well as working within the NHS Dale has always worked within the private sector and in professional sport. Dale opened ‘The Physio Joint’ and has managed his own practice since Nov 2016. He also currently provides Physiotherapy for Welsh premiership rugby team Bargoed RFC as well as being involved in covering games for the WRFU. He also is involved in England Touch Rugby and other contract work.

In 2008 Dale became the Physiotherapist for Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Team and worked with them until 2015. This lead to Dale becoming Physiotherapist for the GB Ice Hockey team in 2012 travelling to championships and Olympic qualifying events around the world.

Dale is a keen sports person himself and has played rugby, competed in Karate representing Wales for 6 years and has a personal interest in strength and conditioning.

Dale’s vision for ‘The Physio Joint’ is to continue to develop the rehab and strength and conditioning element and also is working on new projects to progress to runners gait analysis and rehab. The aim is to become one of south wales leading physiotherapy clinics.

Laura GibbonsLaura Gibbons

Laura, Dales wife, gained her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Salford in 2007, she has worked in the NHS since and is currently a senior Physiotherapist specialising in trauma and orthopaedics. She is a trained Pilates instructor and offers both 1:1 and group Pilates classes at ‘The Physio Joint’.

Laura is passionate about bringing a more holistic approach to the practice and will be working alongside Dale to deliver this to our patients.

Laura’s vision for the new practice is to expand her Pilates skills to include mother and baby and antenatal Pilates, become trained in the skill of acupuncture and to develop the more holisitc mind and body approach to physio in the form of relaxation classes and massage, including baby massage.
